How giving EverTold works
EverTold is a gift you can give in about two minutes and that keeps giving for years. Here is exactly what happens, for you and for them.
For you, the giver
- Choose EverTold for one parent or EverTold for Two for both, and pay once.
- Add their name and email, write a short message, and pick up to three questions you most want them to answer.
- Pick the delivery day: right now, or a day you choose, like Christmas morning or their birthday. Or print the gift card and hand it over yourself.
- They open the email, tap Start, and EverTold greets them by name and asks your first question. You get a note when they tell their first story.
For them, the storyteller
- They open the gift email and tap Start. They are signed in, with no password to create.
- EverTold greets them by name and asks the first question out loud, the one you picked.
- They just talk. EverTold listens, follows up, and waits for them to finish. Typing is there if they prefer.
- Whenever they feel like it, a question from the family is waiting in the app. No weekly emails to keep up with.
For the family, the listeners
- Anyone they invite gets a link and says who they are once, like "I’m Sarah, her daughter".
- Every story is told from that person’s place in the family. Kids can choose a story-time telling.
- Listeners can react, share a story, or send a question of their own, which goes to the storyteller as their next question.
What only EverTold does
Each relative hears the story from their own place in the family
When Mom tells a story about her brother, her daughter hears it as a story about "your uncle" and her grandson hears "your great-uncle", read aloud in a warm storyteller’s voice. Every listener gets the version that makes sense to them.
Story time for the grandkids
A grandchild can tap a story at bedtime and hear it retold for a child: the same true story, simpler words, a gentler pace. Adults get the faithful telling.
A real conversation, not a writing assignment
EverTold asks a question out loud, listens, and follows up, like a patient grandchild on a phone call. It waits for them to finish. Nobody has to write a thing.
Their real voice, kept
The recordings of their answers are saved privately for the family, right next to the written stories, so you keep the way they actually sound.
Handed down for generations
A family library that keeps growing, paid for once. No subscription, no renewal, nothing to cancel.
The family can ask for more
Anyone in the family can send a question like "Mom, tell me about the farm". It goes to the real person, and their answer comes back as a new story.
